Adult education

Our congregation offers many adult education opportunities throughout the year. Programs included are a Scholar-in-Residence and the highly acclaimed Melton Mini-School. Classes in Jewish literacy, Hebrew, Torah study, and Interfaith Programs appear in our Adult Education Catalogue. All adult education classes are open to members and non-members.

Our adult education program is now award-winning!
Congregation Kol Ami is a recipient of the Union for Reform Judaism's 2003 "Congregation of Learners" Award, honoring CKA's commitment to excellence in adult education programming. CKA was one of seventy congregations nominated for the award that year, and one of five winners. The award was presented at the 2003 URJ Biennial in Minneapolis. This award is also notable for the fact that the national award does not distinguish congregations based on size, meaning Kol Ami's adult education program stood out even against competition from much larger congregations with more money and more resources.
