Judaism U is an ongoing and rotating series of sessions held every Sunday that Religious School is in session. Series for the year 5768 (2007-08):

Introduction to Judaism (S-1)

This 12 - week course is intended for anyone seeking a basic understanding of Judaism: its beliefs, customs and history. This class is open to Jews and non-Jews, and is particularly suited for those considering conversion to Judaism.

Jewish History through Jewish Novels (T-1) - Sponsored by the Sisterhood

Once a month we will meet to discuss a Jewish historical novel, the historical context for the story, what the authors got right, what they got wrong.

Books we will read this year will be:

• Rashi’s Daughters (Medieval France) Nov. 15
• The Last Kabbalist of Lisbon (The Expulsion from Spain) Dec. 13
• The Witch of Cologne (Jews at the Dawn of the Enlightenment) Jan. 13
• A Conspiracy of Paper (Jews in Enlightenment England) Feb. 7
• For the Sake of Heaven (Eastern Europe in the Napoleonic Wars) March
