Tzdedakah at Kol Ami

We offer a variety of tzedakah opportunities, including:

• General Fund
  Provides support for operating the synagogue.
• Building Improvement
  Applies to upkeep for current facilities.
• Future Building
  Provides for facilities expansion for current or future site.
• Education
  Provides additional materials for our Religious School.
• Playground Fund
  Provides for upkeep and expansion of playground equipment.
• Library
  Provides for materials for the congregation library.
• Campership Fund
  Provides scholarships for Greene Family Camp for our students.
• Prayer Books
  Provides for purchase of prayer books.
• Rabbi Discretionary Fund
  Used for special purposes at the discretion of the rabbi.
• Sunshine Committee
  Provides for acknowledgment of life-cycle events and support for members in time of need.
• Choir Fund
  Applies to cost of choir at High Holy Day services.
• Sisterhood
  Helps support Sisterhood activities.
• Brotherhood
  Helps support Brotherhood activities.
• Ritual Fund
  Helps support activities of the Ritual Committee.

Yahrzetit Plaque – Our Memorial Board, which holds Yahrzeit plaques with the names of loved ones, is located in the Temple Sanctuary. An engraved plaque is available for $150. At the Yahrzeit memorial service, each plaque is lit. All memorial plaques are lit during Yom Kippur services. Order forms are available at the Temple office.

Tree of Life – This sculpture hangs on a large wall in our sanctuary. It is used to honor and remember occasions such as births, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, milestones, anniversaries, and any other special event you wish to honor. Each leaf on the Tree costs $126 (7 times $18 for “chai” or life). The leaves can be inscribed with any message (within limits of size). Stones for larger inscriptions are also available for $1,008. Order forms are available at the Temple office.
